A slice of garlic & herb, a slice of pepperoni, a soda, $5. It’s hard to fault the value at downtown San Diego’s NY-style pizza specialist Ciro's. Unlike Filipo’s Pizza Grotto, where the cheese is thick and the bases are thicker, Ciro’s quickly serves up thin crust slices that can be ‘rolled’ for eating. Toppings are sparing but tasty. There’s a few seats inside and out but not much else to comment on. The menu has plenty besides pizza, but if pizza’s what you come for you wont be disappointed; or too full when it comes to dinner.
