The Union is a private members dinning club behind a nondescript locked door on Greek Street. The room I dined in had a large picture of a moth above the fireplace, a wall of old mirrors and dozens of portraits including one of a woman with antlers. Couldn't help thinking of Gibson's fictional, but very real, Cabinet.
Food was better than similar clubs I've eaten at: Groucho, Soho House etc. Starter of potted shrimp, main course of sea bass and dessert of chocolate panacotta all very likable (or should that be lickable for the last one?)
