York and Albany, London

Situated on the edge of London’s Regents Park, but close to the horror that is Camden High Street, York & Albany is a John Nash building which has been transformed into a dining 'complex' with dining room, private dining, bar, delicatessen and guest accommodation.

It's the only restaurant I've been to that actually has a bath in the bathroom (making me wonder if the private dining facilities sometimes double as bedrooms.)

The food, a prawn raviolo, curried hake and treacle pudding, was all of the very highest standard - I was definitely impressed enough to plan on venturing back to try the main dining room. My sincere thanks to Hotwire/33 Digital, my hosts.
