TBF I'm finding it hard to like Shake Shack's UK version. It suffers, as does Five Guys, from being notably more expensive than it deserves to be: both in comparison to the price in the USA, and to the best of the local competition, like Honest Burgers. Five Guys at least can claim to be competing with Byron, GBK etc. and priced accordingly (though much higher than in the USA). Shake Shack on the other hand feels like it's more in competition with McDonald's Signature range yet at prices 50% higher for food, and higher still for drinks.
The one thing they do have going is a decent medium temperature for the meat, leaving a little pinkness, rarely found in UK fast food joints.
