Citrus, San Jose

Citrus suffers a bit from being in a boutique hotel. It seems obligated to be sleek and sophisticated when actually it would rather pile it high. A deconstructed wonton for example tastes like a baby heart attack - all oil and threat. Tasty though! Steaks are well cooked, chicken juicy, sides dripping with butter, oil or cheese. Decor for models, food for couch potatoes. I liked it well enough.
