There's a website I use to book restaurants that invites you to review them afterwards, assigning them to certain categories if appropriate. One of those categories is neighborhood gem' and it might have been invented for this bright, clean room in sleepy Surbiton in the London commuter belt.

Deep fried brill and prawn tempura with sauce gribiche was a sharp and swift starter. Pork belly was cooked perfectly, high quality and lacking only in crackling. Dessert was a refreshing pavlova. Service was swift and with a smile. Three courses cost just £22.50.

(Thanks to David for taking me).
